GA 142  Introductory, This activity aims at building)), strengthening or organising networks

We are witnessing the rise of far right and nationalistic regimes across the world. It comes in the form of austerity measures, right-wing populism, religiously legitimised identitarian governance and neo-fascist tendencies. The link to economic globalisation is obvious but not sufficient for an explanation. We will analyse different cases in Europe and beyond and share strategies and tools for organising resistance.
Seminar 1 – From Trump to Brexit to Duterte – is far-right populism the new normal? - Understanding neoliberal authoritarianism, far-right populism, fascism and presentations on cases
Seminar 2 – Corporate Fascism and our Struggle for Social and Economic Justice - New authoritarianism and implications for trade and investments, agriculture, labour rights and migration, etc.
Seminar 3 – Sharing of Concrete Experiences and Strategies for Resisting Far-right populism
